Establishing a trustful companionship in wellness between the patient and doctor is of utmost importance at Dr. Gustavo H. Day’s practice. Opportunity to build a partnership as such means opportunity to bring oneself to a state of general wellbeing and comfort. The objective of his practice is participation in effective patient care, involving both inpatient and outpatient; improving quality of care and preventative medicine.

Born in Detroit but raised in Argentina, Doctor Day obtained his Bachelor of Science degree at Colegio Universitario Central, Universidad Nacional de Cuyo in Mendoza, Argentina. Gustavo expanded his education by attending the medical branch of that same university; in December of 1990, he graduated to become a medical doctor in Argentina.

Motivated by his father, Dr. Jorge Horacio Day, Gustavo flew to the United States where he completed an internship and residency at St. Barnaba’s Hospital, which was affiliated with New York’s Cornell Medical Center located in The Bronx, New York. In 1996, Dr. Day was accepted into the American Medical Association and became Board Certified; during that same year, Gustavo and his wife, Mariana, moved to Dallas, Texas where they started a private practice at Medical City Dallas. Gustavo and Mariana’s generosity, and satisfaction to help the people around them has allowed the practice to continue running through the past two decades, with the practice being stronger than before.

Dr. Gustavo H. Day was awarded Chief Section Internal Medicine in 2001 and 2004 at Medical City Dallas; additionally. Gustavo was voted as a 2010 Most Compassionate Doctor and very recently voted as a 2016 Most Compassionate Doctor. Doctor Day works hard day after day to navigate and guide his patients to a state of healthy well being, either by treating current conditions or by preventing the negative ones from occurring.

Doctor Day has always put his patients at the core of his practice, designing specific healthcare plans for them since everybody is different and has their own unique life and its history. Being able to create these custom plans allows the doctor and patient to be on the same level of understanding and feeling, leading to a motivational but also beneficial relationship between the two. Gustavo and Mariana have been married since March of 1994 and together they raised 4 sons: Matias, Juan Martin, Julian, and Santiago. Gustavo also has a marvelous family that currently lives in Mendoza, Argentina, including his parents and brothers plus sister. Doctor Day has an amazing sense of humor and enjoys the presence of others around him; he sets aside impersonal practices when seeing his patients and allows the patient to feel like he is there with them through all obstacles in their life. He is highly enthusiastic and enjoys engaging in physical activities such as soccer, rugby, biking, and much more. Ultimately, Dr. Gustavo’s passion to live a healthy and content lifestyle motivates the people around him to attempt their very best in life no matter what the case may be.
